  • review rating 5  Good digital marketing agencies are hard to come by. I’ve probably used at least 5 different ones for companies I’ve started or consulted for. And I really enjoyed working with the team at Silicon Beach Digital because they were very hands on and explained their strategy and executed it professionally. A lot of the times I was stuck with an agency that wasn’t transparent and then it became very difficult to try to tie into results and see the return on investment. SBDA was the complete opposite and they really work with you on a budget especially if you are a start up! I highly recommend giving them a shot!

VIDEO CONTENT LIKE YOU MEAN IT

Video is a powerful storytelling medium: Not only can it serve as a prime proving ground for your business’ promotional campaigns, influential ideas, and experimental content efforts, video’s emotionally resonant combination of sound, motion, and visuals can also help you drive deeper, more satisfying relationships between your brand and its audience.

A SIMPLE START: DOCUMENT WHAT YOU ARE SEEING

Instead of creating videos you want to go viral or start a trend, try creating video content that taps into existing conversation on the web or in your industry. If you run a bakery and there’s an ongoing debate on whether cupcakes are still a hot item, your next video might feature your team of decorators weighing in on the issue. Chances are other food industry professionals and news outlets are searching for more information and your brand can be the one to deliver and increase your credibility.

BE REAL

People connect with things that feel more real. Interviews, iPhone video, and shaky selfie videos are authentic to our daily lives. You want to create a video that is visually easy to understand and does not make me nauseous because your moving the camera too much, but don’t be afraid to drop the tripod and lighting kit for a different feel.

CONSISTENCY ALWAYS WINS!

No matter the platform or video type you want to create, look for opportunities to create consistency. If you are able to convert your viewers to a routine, it greatly helps your long term success.

MAKE IT DIGESTIBLE

Attention spans are shorter these days and you can make your content go further by breaking it down into easily consumable pieces with just one major point per video. Releasing a snippet of story per week can integrate with your social media posts and gradually build interest over time. The goal is to keep your audience coming back for more versus delivering just one video. Using analytics here can mean that the first set of content you produce can influence the performance of the next set with the insight gained along the way.

MATCH VIDEO TYPE WITH TARGET NEEDS

You could make a fantastic animated video with an informal tone, but B2B sales to a C-level executive might require a formal product demo with a whiteboard illustration depending on the stage of the buying process you’re targeting. Explore the options available and map your video type to specific goals you’re setting (i.e. aiming to educate? Film a tutorial. Focusing on features? Film a product demo).
